Sometimes when i charge it i dont get mud on end of tape. Whats the cause this?
Best video thanks Mate ❤❤
Lmao some good old mud framing!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried running those Nycors on something like a corner box or a mudshot? Just curious if it would work at all, seeing as the Nycors have that hole in them.
Well, that didn’t show me much
How are you able to get so much mud in the ceiling and not have it dry out? I find I leave it on for 2 minutes and it hardens to the point it textures
Ther like is for the naked hottie with crab feet tat.
Ngl it is so usefule
If you’re a finisher you should know the difference between a corner and angle….that’s a n Angle box
Lol! Semantics. Do you think I just make up these terms on a whim? You're right, Angle Box is a common term used by finishers. However, almost every tool manufacturer in the industry calls it a "corner box" or "corner applicator". Inside corner, inside angle. Same thing.
@@drywallnation when Ames put automatic tools on the market in the 50s it was and still is an Angle box. All your so called manufacturers are a direct copy of the original patent . And couldn’t figure out how to improve on the original design and aren’t smart enough to know the difference between an angle and a corner
Well, I'm not trying to argue with you. But you're wrong again. Literally on the Ames website, it's called a "universal corner applicator." Even "angleheads" are called "corner finishers."
4”angle head for people who like to sand… tape with a 2” finish with a 3”
How many coats do you put on it?
Why are there videos on using auto tools? If you’re a happy home owner do it by hand. And for the finishers out there this is 1st bracket info
I’m just getting hung up that he keeps saying we didn’t have to make cuts when he ripped to full sheets in half😆 also agree that he should have staggered the tops and bottoms or at least used an 8’ butt board on the joint
Why is he putting the mud on so thick
all the gaps should be prefilled in my opinion.. love to see Durabond 90 being used
So....exactly what we did in the video?
I don't know about his product but my drywaller used 77 spray and 8 years later it's seperating away from the drywall. Use fasteners!!!
Very good videos! Thanks!
The female version. Of you is CHEAP
i get everything about it, i have one question though... since you've depressed the butt joint along its entire length, doesn't that mean that the CORNERS of the sheetrock are now double depressed due to this structural depression plus the additional depression that already exists on the corners from the long edge of compressed sheet rock... does it not screw up the mudding of the long edges where every eight feet now there is a deeper hole to mud... does the paper tape lay flat there or the deeper dip at every intersection messes with it?
I wish I would have bought a box kit years ago its awesome how much more money a person can make spend the 5k and work alone and do the work of 3 or more guys per day. I have also had really good luck with the Wen power sander they are cheaper than repairing a Porter cable
Where did you buy the dewalt muddshot?
CSR Building Supplies. They ship everywhere.
Imagine making it to the final part then messing it all up... 😲
can I run my bazooka with 90-minute hot mud
Absolutely not. I mean, technically you can, but I strongly advise you don't. You'll have to mix your setting compound very, very thin for it to operate properly. And as it starts to setup, your taper will get harder and harder to run. Not to mention, cleaning it will be damn near impossible. Setting compound will also dry up your seals and parts. Strongly suggests you don't do this. Not worth the risk. Better off using a banjo or compound tube for setting compound.
Just seen how you wipe into the corner then cut.that was something I was missing I would cut the corner first and drag the tape or even worse not get a clean cut tks guys
Genio
Fiber fuse, got to be extremely itchy?
A trick I learned was glaze with a full mudrunner and give it a nice first coat, after when skimming it just needs a piss coat.
The corner bead below throws it out of level, especially the metal 90's. Although that corner is worse than normal.
Uou have to stop snd explain king of slow .you are going to fast
Good thing this is UA-cam, and you can pause, rewind, and watch as many times as you need too in order to understand.
As a plasterer I can say that was rather pointless
My clients who hired us would beg to differ.
@@drywallnation Hey if the customer likey, me likey! 🤑
Absolutely amazing.Thank you. This was very helpful
48"?
When you have multiple houses being built in an area on a time frame, they will not be perfect. The quicker the completion, the more profitable for the contractor
Mud framing.....done it myself several times.
but why?
I'm a plasterer and I'll tell you that was pointless
you made it look right , and the construction and framing guys love you for it . Just wish they got it right more often or the ground wasn't as soft sometimes.
"Floating" joints are NOT structurally superior ...gravity NEVER stops and will make that "float" SINK and you will see a hump ...V groove butt joints😂🙄 what an absolute waste of time .... ive seen ALL types of drywallers ... you must be the biggest time waster
And we all blame it on China😂
Been there. 1930 bungalow. Now, can you cut me some abs like that?
Waste of time. There is no such thing as the perfect house with perfectly square walls everywhere.
I agree that was pointless. No one would ever care it was a lil crooked in that spot. I mean they coulda done better from the beginning but yeah that was a waste of time
Really good job. But could that create another problem. I hope it doesn't crack, then separate and come down. Maybe having put some screws half way in sporadically to give the mud something to hold to.
Lol
Yep jonno let’s just hide that shit it’ll never show up to bother us later ….
Looks like the entrance bead may have a little something to do with that ?
Whats the point? Leave it ir fix it properly nobody would have noticed but now with that much filler he just made another problem
Lady’s and gentlemen, the landlord special!
Great fix my friend!
U mean out of plumb 😂
😂
My friend bought a home that was in a new development. They were small but cozy semi-detached homes. But they were cheaply built, and there wasn't a square corner or a plumb wall in the entire community.
That is like fixing a dent in a car with bondo. The real problem is still there and quite likely will reappear in some way down the road.
ima give a like just for the music
🤣 Thanks
